Admissions

Denbighshire County Council is the admissions authority for Ysgol Tir Morfa and all decisions on placements are made by an admissions panel with school representation.

All children at Ysgol Tir Morfa have a statement of special educational needs (SEN) as issued under the Education Act (1996). Admissions into early years classes are flexible and may include part time, split and assessment placements.

The majority of children start Ysgol Tir Morfa at the start of each academic year in September however a small number join throughout the year. Ysgol Tir Morfa works closely with other agencies including other schools, health and social care professionals and liaises closely with families to ensure that admission into school is successful.

Admissions and statements are administered by Denbighshire County Council’s ALN Inclusion Unit (01824 708168). Further advice can be sought from Denbighshire County Council’s Education Support Department (01824 706101) or direct from the school.
